Another nice day today, fairly steady and productive day at work and had a good evening at home. Trimmed some of the bushes outside since I won’t get the opportunity this weekend, wasn’t too bad, they’re just getting grown out and expanding beyond their boundaries. Also changed out the cabin filters and air filters in the CR-V and the Civic. Those haven’t been changed in quite some time and they desperately needed it, especially with the pollen we have here. The filters only cost around $25 each and were incredibly easy to install. The dealer wanted around $50-$60 to replace them. That is one drawback about owning certain things, the maintenance and upkeep of the item. You have to clean it, maintain it, repair it, and eventually replace it. On one hand I enjoy the freedom of owning a vehicle, the ability to go wherever whenever I want, but I can also see the freedom of not owning one. The responsibility and the pice we pay for having the luxury of owning transportation. It is essential where I live because the public transportation is lacking and many of the roads are not bike friendly. I do need to remember appreciate my things more now that I have pared them down. Without these items, my life would be much more difficult and it would take more of my time and energy to navigate life without them.
